About Us

GreenPrisons.org is the online source for what's happening in environmentally responsible, corrections-related, programs and services.  GreenPrisons invites agency administrators to share their green projects with the rest of the profession so that we can all learn from your successes as well as some of your challenges.  We know you can invest in the environment without investing money and we know you can save money and train inmates by thinking and working in an environmentally sensitive way.

If you are a correctional administrator, then send us your story about construction, products or practices that you have used that have helped to save dollars and the environment.  If you are using your green initiatives to train inmates for the next generation of green jobs in the community, then share information about classes, certification and instructional credentials.
