GreenPrisons has been partnered with the American Correctional Association (ACA) since we got our start in 2011, and we’re really excited about this upcoming Conference! The 145th Congress of Correction is in Indianapolis, IN, this year from August 14th – 19th. ACA has long since set the standard in all aspects of corrections and this year the conference has expanded the Green Aisle to a full aisle of sustainable vendors and products! The increased focus on sustainable products in the exhibit hall, the number of workshops in the program and the closing session dedicated exclusively to sustainability in corrections demonstrates that sustainability will play a major role in the future of corrections. GreenPrisons will be in booth 1201, at the head of the aisle, and we want to invite everyone to stop by and see what we’ve been working on and what GreenPrisons can do for your agency. Then stroll through the rest of the renewable and sustainable vendors on our aisle and check out all the advantages that renewable and sustainable products and services can offer you and your agency!
Tommy Norris, CEO and founder of GreenPrisons has once again been appointed chair of the Clean and Green committee by President Mary Livers. The committee will meet on Saturday, August 15th, at 1:30 PM in the Convention Center and all registered ACA participants are welcome and encouraged to join us there.
